An AMAZING new treatment, incorporating Micro Needling and Radio Frequency, for your best skin ever!
If you've ever experienced micro needling (also known as skin needling) before, you'll know just how fantastic the results are. Think of this treatment as the next step up!
Micro needling uses tiny needles, which penetrate all over the skin, causing micro "trauma" to the skin. This trauma triggers a wound-healing response in the skin, stimulating the production of new collagen. By adding Radio Frequency, we are able to enhance the effects of the treatment even further. Radio Frequency waves penetrate the dermis via the needles, heating the skin tissue, which causes further damage to the skin, resulting in an enhanced healing response. Essentially, the body replaces the tissue that has been damaged with beautiful new skin!
The results?
- Firmer, tighter skin
- Pigmentation is reduced
- Uneven skin tone and texture are improved
- Lines and wrinkles are minimised
- Redness is reduced
- Skin is plumper and brighter
We have carried out our own extensive research and case studies to prove that the results from our Micro Needling with Radio Frequency treatment are legitimate, as seen in images below.
"I have been in the beauty and skin industry for 23 years and pride myself in achieving results for my clients. I have been carrying out both manual and mechanical skin needling treatments for the last 5 years and can honestly say it's one of my favourite treatments. The treatment alone speaks volumes when you see the results, but when I got the opportunity to use the new machine, incorporating radio frequency, the results were even better! Treating both collagen and skin tissue has a combined positive effect on skin health. We are all going to age no matter what but this holistic approach helps delay the skin degradation and maintains our natural skin quality." - Shirley, Skin Specialist at Woodlands
How many RF Micro Needling treatments are recommended?
You will feel a difference after just one treatment but we recommend a course of 3 to 6 treatments for best results. This all depends on the skin concerns being presented to us. Acne scarring and pigmentation take a little longer to soften and may need further holistic treatments along the way to help.
How soon after RF Micro Needling treatment will I see results?
Most clients see results within 3 weeks following their first treatment as the skin begins regeneration of collagen and skin cells. We always record your results on each visit so that we can show you how your skin has changed over your course of treatments.
Is there any downtime following RF Microneedling?
Downtime is a little less than what you'd experience with regular mechanical skin needling. Generally the redness (inflammation) and heat subside within a few hours post treatment but it can take up to 24 hours for it to subside, depending on how sensitive your skin is. Skin tends to be a little dry 2 days post treatment, to which we recommend a hydrating mask and to follow aftercare guidelines provided by your skin specialist.
How much time is required between Radio Frequency Micro Needling treatments?
A minimum of 4 weeks is required between each treatment; this is essential for the skin to recover from the wound healing cascade. Any sooner and it may compromise the skins natural healing ability and hinder the results.
How long do the results of Radio Frequency MicroNeedling last for?
Results are long lasting, the treatment objective is rejuvenating the skin tissue by creating brand new collagen matrix fibres to support existing collagen, giving a tightening effect. The combination of radio frequency and skin needling has a profound effect on the skin health and functions to delay the effects of age on our skin as well as any detrimental internal or external influences.
How do I book an RF Micro Needling treatment?
You can book an initial consultation with a member of the Woodlands team, who will go through skincare advice, what your skin concerns are, if this is the best treatment for you and what results you should achieve from it. We can then get you booked in for your first treatment. As we use a numbing agent for a more comfortable experience, the time of the appointment may be just over an hour.
